Dear Editor:
Osage City Cleanup Week is Sept. 23-27, 2024. Numerous visible changes can be seen happening within the city. You can help make additional changes by walking around your yard and gathering your old items that you’re no longer using and placing them out on the curb during cleanup week. Have a conversation with your neighbor and see if they need help carrying items out to the curb.
The city staff will pick up items from the curb and will not enter your property. Those items include boxes containing items, furniture, mattresses, appliances, metal items and brush. Please place the brush and metal in separate piles from your other items.
Do not place, tire, automobiles or parts, drywall, building materials, roofing materials, concrete, piles of trash, items with freon, or hazardous waste out on the curb. The cities of Osage County are discussing ways to properly dispose of hazardous waste.
Our city employees do a great job, so please take advantage of this this free community project. As a community we can continue to make Osage City a great place.
