At 10:41 a.m. Sept. 29, 2024, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop at milepost 139 on U.S. Highway 75 for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. Caleb M. Kidd, 35, Abilene, Kan., was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.
At 8:54 a.m. Sept. 30, 2024, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop just east of Quenemo on 269th Street for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. Two subjects were arrested: Jack Sands, 25, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, and reckless driving. Eric E. Yost, 43, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
