Calvinistic Methodist Church, Arvonia, Kan.
All are invited to Arvonia, Kan., for a Christmas candlelight service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at the Calvinistic Methodist Church.
Arvonia is a historic community located four miles north of Lebo, just west of Hoch Road on West 325th Street. Established as a Welsh community in 1869, the Arvonia Historic Preservation Society has been working since 2011 to restore these buildings while preserving the heritage of this Welsh community.
Pastor Phil Wade, of Rome, Ga., will conduct the service. An experience not to be missed, everyone is invited to start off the Christmas season with a service to honor the birth of our Savior. The acoustics in the church are amazing and will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit.
A reception will follow the service in the Arvonia Township Hall, with warm Welsh cakes, tea and coffee for refreshments.
