OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Patricia Irene Hendrickson, 83, passed away Feb. 21, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan. Patricia Irene Fagan was born Aug. 11, 1941, in Emporia, Kan., the daughter of Bernard and Mary Ellen (Whitaker) Fagan.
Irene graduated from Reading High School, Reading, Kan.
She was joined in marriage to Robert Davenport, in 1962. To this union five children were born. They later divorced. Irene later married H. Dale Hendrickson, June 26, 1989, in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2012.
Her most important job was being Mom and Grandmother. She worked for more than 20 years at the Osage County Senior Center, Osage City, Kan., and retired in 2008.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and puzzles. She made baby blankets for all grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Julie (Dean) Bevitt, of Burlingame, Kan.; four sons, Jim (Dee) Davenport and Roy (Lori) Davenport, both of Osage City, John (Carolyn) Davenport, Temple, Texas, and Russell (Kristi) Davenport, Osage City; stepdaughter, Michelle (Jerry) Bailey, Osage City; brother, Jack Fagan, Emporia; three sisters, Berna Meek, Lenexa, Kan., Judy (Armand) Corpolongo, Topeka, and Marian Pannone, Topeka; brother-in-law, Jim Conrad, Topeka; sister-in-law, Delores Stenfors, Salina, Kan.; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie Kerns, Cody Mayfield, Sam Davenport, Marc Davenport, Danielle Hallgren, Joel Bevitt, Katelyn Baker, Shawna Taylor, Nathaniel Davenport, Lorenza Davenport, Emily Horn, Laci Van Hauen, and Lynsey Davenport; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two sisters, Marge Staab and Liz Conrad.
Cremation is planned and a service will be held at later date.
