Kansas wind pushed a motorcyclist into the median of Interstate 35 near the Osage and Franklin county line, causing a crash and injuring the driver.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Samuel A. Krehbiel, 39, Gardner, Kan., was driving a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on I-35 at about 11 a.m. June 22, 2025, when a gust of wind caused him to lose control, enter the median and crash.
KHP reported Krehbiel was found to have suspected serious injuries and he was transported to Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kan., for treatment. The location of the crash was at I-35 mile marker 167.5, or just south of Alabama Road, which is the Franklin and Osage county line.
