A Wichita man died in a motorcycle crash July 6, 2025, on the Kansas Turnpike, in Osage County, Kan.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Christian Kaufman, 69, of Wichita, Kan., was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson FLH southbound in the right lane of Interstate 335 or the Kansas Turnpike at mile marker 163.8 in Osage County, at about 7:40 p.m. July 6, when the cycle left the roadway to the right. KHP said the driver overcorrected the cycle back onto the roadway and it overturned. The cycle then skidded off the roadway to the right, struck a delineator post and the grassy ditch, where it then rolled. Kaufman was ejected off the cycle, which continued to roll southbound in the ditch before coming to a rest and catching fire.
Kaufman was wearing a helmet, but suffered fatal injury in the crash. The location of the crash is about seven miles northwest of Burlingame. The Kansas Turnpike extends for about 10 miles across the northwestern corner of Osage County.

My Boyfriend and I were second on scene of his accident. I'm also a new rider ( just got my license to ride a month ago) And I would like to pay my respects to the family. If anyone know anything that could help, please reach out to me.
