OSAGE COUNTY, Kan. – Resurfacing work is scheduled to begin on state Highway 268, in Osage County, during the week of Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. The Kansas Department of Transportation mill and overlay project spans approximately 10 miles, from U.S. Highway 75 to the state Highway 68 junction north of Quenemo.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane and directed by a pilot car and flaggers where crews are actively working. Drivers should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes. A 12-foot width restriction will also be in effect.
Work will occur during daylight hours Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed.
APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division, of Hutchinson, Kan., is the prime contractor on the $2.1 million project, which is expected to be completed by the end of October, conditions permitting.
