Good spellers invited to compete in Thursday’s senior spelling bee

Submitted by Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

Staff at the Osage County Senior Center are hoping for walk-ins at the 7 p.m. Oct. 10 senior spelling bee since registration has been so slow. It is a fun and festive occasion, and the more who participate, the better for the student panel of judges and those that simply come to watch. The spelling bee is open to anyone 60 years old and older.

There are plenty of seats open on the bus trip to LeRoy on Oct. 24. This is an opportunity to be entertained and educated, so please stop by or give us a call at 785-528-4906 to reserve a seat.
