Along with a book sale, the Lyndon Carnegie Library will host a pie baking contest during the Lyndon Fall Festival, Oct. 4, 2025.
For the third year, the library is encouraging all local pie bakers to donate a pie or two and enter the contest. Two pies will be accepted from each donor-contestant.
Contestants should bring their favorite homemade pies by 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, to the Lyndon Fall Festival on the Osage County Courthouse lawn, with their name, phone number and pie recipe. Judging will be after 10 a.m. After winners are announced, pieces of pie will be sold as a fundraiser for the library.
