BURLINGAME, Kan. – Sheila Ann Wells, 64, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Sheila Ann Hallowell was born Oct. 14, 1961, in Emporia, Kan., the daughter of George Fredrick and Dessia Lavern (Earp) Hallowell.
Even though born with spina bifida, she had will power to do whatever she set her mind too. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1979.
She had worked for RCIL and GMAC Financing before retiring from state of Kansas as a federal aid auditor.
Sheila is survived by her two brothers, Fredrick Hallowell and Edward Hallowell, both of Osage City; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, Kan. Cremation was to follow services and inurnment will be later at Burlingame Cemetery, Burlingame, Kan.
