The January meeting of the Melvern Jr. Highline 4-H Club was held at 5:03 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at Melvern Community Center. Vice-President Braelyn McNally called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were led by Braelyn.
Secretary Bella Reeser called the roll, asking members and parents to respond with their favorite Christmas Break activity. There were five members and four adults present. Bella then read the minutes from the previous meeting, which were approved as read. In correspondence, Bella shared two Christmas cards: one from the 4-H Ambassadors and one from the Extension Service.
Treasurer Braelyn McNally presented the treasurer’s report, which was also approved. Reporter Bella Reeser stated that she had submitted two articles to the newspaper. There was no historian’s report. There was no council report.
In the leader’s report, Caleb and Lisa reminded members of the following important updates:
- Blue & Gold sales have begun. Orders are due to the Extension office by March 2, with delivery estimated for March 16.
- District Club Days is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 28. Registration will open online from Jan. 26 to Feb. 9.
There was no unfinished business. There was no new business. For the program, Bella performed her dance that she will be performing at District Club Days. In songs, the club sang “Happy Birthday” to 4-H club members celebrating birthdays in January.
At 5:20 p.m., a motion to adjourn the meeting was made and seconded. The next club meeting of the Melvern Jr. Highline 4-H Club will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at the Melvern Community Center.
For recreation, members created edible snowmen and enjoyed snacks provided by the Doviak family.
