LEVITTOWN, Pa. – A Kansas man wanted for fleeing sheriff’s deputies in a car crash was apprehended Tuesday morning in Bristol Township, Pa., by a federal fugitive task force. Alen McNeil, 34, of Scranton, Kan., was taken into custody at 11:30 a.m. in the unit block of Vista Street in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

The arrest was carried out by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and the Bristol Township Police K-9 unit, authorities told LevittownNow.com.

McNeil was sought by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, in Kansas, for allegedly violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act.

According to investigators, Kansas sheriff’s deputies attempted to interview McNeil regarding registration violations April 9, 2026. Upon seeing the deputies, McNeil drove off in his vehicle and then crashing it after a chase, escaping on foot despite an extensive manhunt in a rural area, authorities said.

A warrant for McNeil’s arrest was issued on April 14, after investigators determined he had fled Kansas.

Deputy marshals in Philadelphia received information placing McNeil in Bucks County on Tuesday, authorities said.

When task force officers knocked on the door of the Vista Street home Tuesday, McNeil attempted to flee again but was arrested without further incident, authorities said.

After his arrest, McNeil was transported to the Bristol Township Police Department for processing. U.S. Marshals Service photo. In the afternoon, he appeared before District Judge Terry Hughes and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility to be held as a fugitive. McNeil was convicted in 2013 of indecent liberties with a 15-year-old child in Topeka, Kan., according to authorities in the Sunflower State.

“Arresting fugitives accused of sexual offenses protects the community and prevents further harm,” said Supervisory Deputy Marshal Robert Clark.
