Silver Alert: Elderly Jefferson County man found

101513-silver-alertUpdate 3:03 p.m.: The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has just announced that Leo Mulvihill has been located and is safe. No additional information was available. 

A Silver Alert has been issued for an 83-year-old Jefferson County man. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Leo C. Mulvihill, who is said to have Alzheimer’s disease.

Mulvihill is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 165 pounds, gray hair and gray eyes. His left hand has been amputated. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray plaid shirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots and a gray ball cap. He was driving a silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Kansas tag number 441CGK, but his direction of travel is unknown.
