Lyndon City Clerk Julie Stutzman, left, swears in Laura Moore as a new member of the Lyndon City Council last week, after she was appointed to the position by Lyndon Mayor Brandon Smith. Moore and her husband Josh have been Lyndon residents since 2009; they have a two-year-old son, Ashton. Moore previously served on the Lyndon Recreation Commission. She is employed as the State SAFE Coordinator in the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office. Moore is filling the position left vacant when former council member Smith was appointed as mayor in July.
