Members of American Legion Post 125, Lyndon, and Lyndon Cub Scout Pack 107 ceremoniously destroyed dozens of unserviceable flags Sunday.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, American Legion Post 125, Lyndon, and Cub Scout Pack 107 performed an American flag retirement ceremony in front of the Osage County Courthouse. American flags that were soiled, tattered or in unserviceable condition were properly disposed of during this solemn event.
Anyone who had American flags in unserviceable condition was encouraged to bring them to the ceremony for proper disposal.
Along with American Legion members and Cub Scouts, about two dozen spectators attended the solemn event.
