911 outage resolved in Osage County

Update: 10:26 a.m. Dec. 4, 2013. All 911 services in Osage County for S&A Telephone and AT&T wireless customers have been restored. The Osage County Sheriff thanked the public for their patience in this matter.

Update: 4:45 p.m., Dec. 3, 2013. S&A Telephone and AT&T wireless 911 calls rerouted to sheriff’s office dispatch.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office reported this morning that 911 telephone services are not working in Osage County for S&A Telephone and AT&T wireless customers.

The sheriff’s office is working with the companies to resolve the matter. In the meantime, S&A Telephone and AT&T wireless customers’ 911 calls will be directly routed to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.

Until the 911 system is operational again, the direct number to the sheriff’s office, 785-828-3121, can also be used in case of emergencies.

The sheriff’s department is continuing efforts to resolve the problems.
