Osage City Parks and Recreation’s holiday art workshop is coming up Saturday and sign-up for kindergarten and 4-year old youth basketball players continues:

YOUTH BASKETBALL

(4-year-old and kindergarten)

This is an instructional basketball program designed to teach basketball fundamentals, shooting, dribbling, passing, and good sportsmanship through team practice and game play.

• Kindergarten practice dates and location – Sundays – Jan. 12-Feb. 23 – 5-6 p.m. – OCES gym.
• Kindergarten basketball instructors – Kate and Lucas Boss.
• Players receive a team shirt and participation award.
• Cost is $20 per player.
• Kindergarten sign up deadline – Jan. 6.

HOLIDAY ART WORKSHOP

Workshop instructor, Becky Weaver (USD 420 OCES Art Teacher).

• December 14.
• K-2nd grade (9-10:30am) and 3rd-8th grade (10:45am-12:15pm).
• Location, OCES art room (Enter through the WEST doors by the OCES library).
• Cost, $20 per person.
• Projects may include: Painting a Christmas inspired picture and/or decoration; creating an ornament for the tree; making holiday cards to share with friends and family.
• All projects will be available to take when your child leaves the workshop..
• Reminder, art is messy – please dress accordingly.
• Sign up forms will be sent through Osage City Elementary School, are available at Osage City Hall, and are online at www.osagecity.com.
