Do you wonder how the new Affordable Care Act will affect your insurance coverage? Frontier Extension District and the Flint Hills Community Health Center are partnering in a free seminar to inform citizens about the new health care reform law that requires everyone who can afford health insurance to obtain it.
“What you need to know about the Affordable Care Act and Marketplace,” a brief overview, followed by a question and answer session, will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at Lyndon Community Center, 204 Topeka Ave., Lyndon.
Rebecca McFarland, Frontier Extension District family and consumer sciences agent, and Valorie Libertus, outreach and eligibility coordinator of Flint Hills Community Health Center, will present the program.
The Affordable Care Act requires that everyone who can afford health insurance must buy it, or pay a tax fine. Find out how this law affects you and your family, and how to navigate the Insurance Marketplace, compare plans and enroll.
