Spring storms are blowing in a summer full of activities for Osage City Parks and Recreation. Schedules and signup deadlines are set for upcoming lifeguard training and recertification and WSI certification, along with swim teams. Osage City Aquatic Center will open May 23, 2026, and swimming lessons options are available for signup. Planning for OCPR Tee-Ball and youth golf camps is underway, with signup deadlines in May. Lifeguard Training
- May 20, 1-6pm
- May 21 and 22, 8am-5pm
- Cost is $175

- Students are REQUIRED to complete 7 class hours online, by the dates assigned

- Includes First Aid and CPR.

OCPR TEE-BALL
For children in PK3 and PK4
- Cost, $25 per player
- OCPR Tee-ball is a parent interactive program, meaning all parents are invited to help with this program.
- Tee-ball coaches are in charge of each game, making sure player positions are rotated and the batting order is set.
- A head coach is determined and the remaining parents serve as assistant coaches for the team.
- Each team has a roster limit of 10 players.
- Each team bats everyone and then players rotate to the field for defense.
- Team practice can start after the deadline, once teams are put together and a head coach is assigned.
- Games begin the week of June 1. A game schedule will be sent out a week prior to the start of the season.

Osage City Swim Team
A swimmers age is their age on or before June 15, 2026. A swimmer cannot be 19 before the age date.
Parent meeting, May 3, 5pm, OCAC. Mandatory for BOTH swimmers and parents. Swim suit sizing. Parents and Swimmers NOT attending, MUST meet with Michelle prior to the first practice. Late sign ups may not be accepted.
Swim team pre-requisite: MUST be age 5 by June 15 – AND – be able to swim the length of the OCAC Pool WITHOUT assistance.
- Swim team practice starts June 1. Mon-Fri, 7:30am or 8:30-9:30am. Alternate practice options Tues-Fri, TBA.
- Meet season, June13 (Lyndon), 20 (Burlington), 27 (Overbrook), July 4 (no meet), July 11 (League, Osage City)
- Cost, $70 per swimmer

Pre-School Sessions
Pre-K Swimmers MUST be age 3 by the first day of class to be enrolled in the session.
A minimum of 4 swimmers is needed for a class to make.
Swim lessons are Monday-Thursday ONLY. Friday will be used as a make-up day as needed.
Lessons WILL NOT be held if the air temperature is below 70 degrees.
Youth Golf Camp
3rd-8th Grade Boys and Girls. Grade is based on the 2026-2027 School Year
OCPR is partnering with Lesli Harmon and the OCHS Girls Golf Teams to provide this Youth Golf Camp. This camp will teach fundamentals of the game, including swing mechanics and etiquette.

- $30 per golfer
Golf Clubs – students can bring their own to use or clubs will be available if you do not own any. Make sure to mark on the form if your golfer can bring their own golf clubs or needs golf clubs provided. Make sure to mark on the form if your golfer is left-handed or right-handed.
Turn in forms and payment to Osage City Hall, 201 S. Fifth St., the Osage City Municipal Golf Course, or Lesli Harmon.
